As a painter and photographer, I find inspiration in the existence of people held close for reflection.
I engage a personal expression of solid marks and living imagery to express the beauty and innocence of everyday life in South Africa.
Within this territory, my work varies from representational to abstract, and I am continuously moving along the contrast between the two. I tend to work in series, either in regard to the exploration of a particular image or the materials used in creating my works.
I am exploring the dialogue between Photography and Painting, with a seasonal aspect related to my travels, connections and experiences with my subject matters.
